Anyone making money bloggin?

Hi There,

I'm a newbie, so please take it easy on me.
I currently starting my own porn blog (Nothing new to this world). Anyways I was curious if anyone is making any money blogging. I'm thinking of starting a free blog using thumblogger or another blogging site. Does anyone have any suggestions? Comments? or Direction?

Yes I make money blogging, at first it will be slow so don't get discouraged.
Start out in a niche YOU like and can relate to. Take it 1 blog at first, don't over do it at first.

I'm sure there is tons more others will chip in with, but if you have any specific questions just ask. Also welcome to AWG!

I just set mine up yesterday...however I have several non porn blogs and as rhete said, it will be slow at first. But just keep plugging away at adding content...

I started this in late June, early July. It was very slow at first, but I'm now earning enough to pay quite a few bills each month. Not a bad gig if you enjoy doing it.

Like rhete said....pick a niche you like and can relate to. Start with your first blog then build many more from there.

There are tons of things you have to learn but only do what you can handle at first. I went way too big way to fast and am now building up the rest of the explosion as we speak.

When you first start out, "Less is More".
When you gain experience, "More is More".

Follow my mind set there?

Oh yeah...and to answer your question, Yeah I make money doing this.

I checked out your homepage and notice you use blogspot. Is that a good place to generate money? Any suggestions where I should go to get more info or get in touch with affiliates?

I pretty much abandoned that blog on blogspot since they dont allow adult there. Im just waiting for it to disappear actually....that blog is 3 yrs old now.

As far as sponsors that I use see my sig. All have been good for me, but again, it all depends on which niches you are after. You HAVE to be into one more so that the rest.

Its ok to like it all, but pick one that you really get into for your beginning blogging adventure and give it all you can. Get that one built up and build another in a different niche. Again something else you get into.

My things are erotic (MET ART) type stuff and real amateurs.

I have hardcore, cam, videos, lesbians, etc. ,etc. but those 2 are my primary income stream and what I "DIG" so to speak.

Here I go rambling on again.

I started adult blogging about 14 or so months ago and it was slow at first, and a lot of that was to do with the fact I had so much to learn. You will see my anguished cries for help on a couple of the older threads here

The strange thing was, as soon as I had made those cries for help, I actually began to make some decent sales and the help I received (and continued to receive) was phenomenal too.

I am still not making a vast fortune from adult blogging but it certainly pays the bills and has allowed me to pay to expand my 'mini porn empire' with some decent hosting and tools (I began on Thumblogger and a number of other free adult blog sites I cannot mention here). And nowadays I have expanded into mainstream too (although I still prefer adult somehow...), mainly because I like to cover all options.

And like rob83642, I signed up with way too many sponsors at the start and am still waiting to make minimum payout with some of them as a result, but even with those, I reckon i'll get there eventually (but would not recommend this until later on for anyone just starting out).

Many here will tell you to concentrate on a specific niche and micro niches for blogging and that works, but I find that sometimes you do not know what this niche is going to be until you have tried a few and seen the results

For me, I didn't have a clue what would 'pop the cork' so to speak, because the vast majority of my surfers are male and I'm female! So I tried quite a few niches and it turned out that it was the ones I never would have really been interested in which worked for me (so now I am very interested in them just because of that

)

And I'm rambling on too...
Oh yes, there are a couple of my best sponsors in my signature and loads more in the sidebars of my webmaster blog
