Hi everyone!
Hope you're all having a great weekend! I was really excited when I found Sensual Writer because I always wanted to start an adult website but didn't because of the expense. This seems much easier. Anyway, here I am and getting frustrated after only 1 day. If the answers to these questions are answered in another section, please direct me there because I know how busy everyone is. This is what I am having problems with. First, after I "save" & "publish" a post, why is the "edit" button under the post still live? What am I doing wrong? Looks like anyone viewing my blog can "edit" my posts. And sometimes the "publish" button doesn't show up. The "link" widget doesn't show up in my sidebar after I move it to the box on the left & click on both "save" boxes in the "presentation" section & it is not listed on the dashboard. How do I clear out my uploads? Seems like the blog "times out" quite a bit & "page won't load" error comes up often also. Under "page" in the sidebar, after I post & I click the link, the "edit" button there is also still live. I know, I know it is all me! LOL! Really, I am quite inexperienced with all the tech stuff. So I am searching for some easy to understand Blogging e-books. Blogging for Dummies? Thanks for all your help. One more thing, how do I track my posts & receive notification when there is a reply to them? |

I'll answer what I can...
The edit button is only visible to you as you are logged in, only authors of your blog can see the edit button on posts and pages. To "Clear out" your uploads.. on the dashboard go to 'manage' then on the sub-menu go to 'uploads'. You can only delete them one at a time though I'm afraid. The link widget won't show until you've added links to it. To do this... on the dashboard go to 'blogroll'. To be notified when someone replies to your post... on the dashboard go to 'options' then on sub-menu go to 'discussion'. You'll see settings for 'E-mail me whenever...' - You can set that notification here. The publish button not showing may well just be a bug, remember to 'Clear the cache' (Available on the dashboard and main menu bar) often to keep it running as smooth as you can. SW is a very early version of Wordpress and as such does come with some buggy and frustrating elements, however it is free of course so you can look at these things as quirks! ![]() Hope that helps, and welcome! ![]()

Hi scmediaboi,
Thanks for helping me out. I appreciate it very much! I was wondering why there is so much space between my topic and the first paragraph in my "about" section. When I click on "save and continue editing" the text automatically moves down about an inch. I delete the lines but that doesn't work.. Take a look at my blog, it's in my signature, and tell me what you think, at your convenience of course. Thanks club pink elite |

No problem at all.
Had a quick scan of your site. I like the idea you have, and the writing is great, obviously written from a love of the niche (or sub-sub-sub niche in your case lol). Try and keep the writing with that fun element and dont get tempted to automate it, its something different and thats always good. One suggestion would be to add bigger pictures, not massive, but I had to pretty much squint to get a good look at the ones you have up! If you haven't already, check out the index of these forums at http://www.adultwebmastergroup.com/index.php which will help you out with issues outside of SW and is an invaluable resource for everything involved with adult blogging.

This is the first time I have ever used Sensual Writer.
I know it takes time to learn everything, however, I am following directions, on how to post and am still having problems. Spending over 2 hours to make just one post is ridiculous. Is anyone having problems with the blog "timing out" or "page can't be displayed" because I try to log in, save, publish, write or whatever and I constantly get these error messages. So, when I do get lucky & I think things are panning out, my latest post shows up when I click on "view" in the dashboard but won't show up when I click on "home." And yes I have cleared the cache a zillion times. Can anyone relate? Thanks Tim |

Unfortunately this service does come with those problems, they happen more at peak points in the day, when everyone is active and the server is stretched.
I would suggest creating a new thread detailing the problems you're having, and hopefully Twan can shed some light on them, and maybe guide you to a fix.
