Hi,
I tried sending this as a reply to the StarPinger welcome message that says to reply to that message with any questions and my message bounced. So I am posting it here: I got StarPinger set up but nothing I do can get it to work. I entered my blog URL, I located and entered the IP addresses to recently verified proxy servers, but every time I get the following error result: Status of 'Exxxtreme Sex': Ready. OK: 0 pings / error: 0 pings using proxy: none =============== =============== I have tried dozens of proxy servers, both individually and in groups, and I get the same error message every time. My Java is installed and working, and I have tried sending from both a Mac and Windows machine running FireFox on both with the same result. I would appreciate any guidance on how this problem can be resolved. Thanks very much, and all best, Frank http://exxxtremesex.thumblogger.com Last edited by Master Frank : 12-14-2009 at 11:49 PM. Hi Frank,
Do you have any ping services in starpinger? Can you post a few of those?

Hi, Twan,
Nice to meet you and thanks for your interest in helping solve this problem. I just tried again using fresh proxies pulled off of samair.ru . All are supposedly no more than four minutes old and from a variety of countries: 128.112.139.108:3127 128.193.33.8:3124 132.239.17.226:3124 82.114.66.161:8080 82.223.117.209:80 93.93.128.104:8080 I got the same error result as I initially reported, whether using the group en masse or one by one. Any idea what could be wrong? I'd appreciate your helping in getting this problem solved. Thanks, Frank

Than,
I think i solved the problem. I thought you meant proxies by services, but then I realized you meant the ping services. I did not realize they had to be added individually to StarPinger. Thought that list in the FAQs got pinged automatically. Also did not see the "Add" button the Services screen on StarPinger until I pulled the box more open. Anyway, I added some of the services, did the ping, and it apparently pinged seven of the 13 initial services I put in. Here is the list: http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ http://1470.net/api/ping http://www.a2b.cc/setloc/bp.a2b http://api.feedster.com/ping http://api.moreover.com/RPC2 http://api.moreover.com/ping http://www.blogdigger.com/RPC2 http://blogmatcher.com/u.php http://www.blogoon.net/ping/ http://www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates http://www.blogshares.com/rpc.php http://blog.goo.ne.jp/XMLRPC http://bulkfeeds.net/rpc I think it should work now, yes? Thanks again for your assistance. Frank
